We’re committed to partnering with parents to equip children with an understanding of the bible and applying that to develop a personal and loving relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

We always have a strong emphasis on children building a firm relationship with God and preparing them biblically by teaching the foundations of the bible.

Our programs for SK-Grade 5 are created with the intention to engage children and help them best understand their relationship with Jesus. Your child has the freedom to enjoy some free play before service starts. Children are joined together for introductions, worship and games. They will then be dismissed into the room based on their age groups, sk-grade 1, grades 2-3, and grades 4-5. Children explore bible lessons in a fun and interactive way based on their own developmental levels. They will then be joined together at the end to better understand the lesson and a group and engage in some more fun activities.

We have 4 goals in our kids’ ministry;
To create an environment where children can learn who Christ is and biblical truth
To engage students with the Word of God and help provide opportunity for them to accept Christ as their personal Saviour
To make every child feel welcome, loved and accepted through building relationships and trust with them and their families
To teach children the role of the Holy Spirit and learn how to hear from Him

Our Pledge to Families: Richmond Hill Pentecostal Church is fully committed to providing a safe, secure, nurturing, and Christ-centred environment for all infants, toddlers, children, and young people. All ministry leaders and volunteers are thoroughly screened, effectively trained, and meet or exceed the requirements of our Plan to Protect Child Protection Policy. We take seriously our policies to promote safety and prevent mistreatment and we work diligently to ensure that our best practices are following consistently in every ministry. We welcome any inquiries regarding our Plan to Protect Child Protection Policy.

Check-In/Check-Out Procedure

For added security all children must check-in and check-out when attending our programs using our computerized check-in program. All children must be picked up by an adult and the tag provided at drop off must be presented. If it is your first time visiting with us, allow yourself a few extra minutes to register your child for our program.

Only authorized and identified volunteers are allowed within the Children’s Ministry areas on Sunday mornings, all other visitors must be pre-approved and identified to security and team leaders.

If you’re new to kids church, drop by our kids check-in desk to register your child. If you've already registered your child, visit our check-in desk to sign your child in. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tag stickers that are exclusive to you. Your child will need to wear the name tag sticker throughout the service while you hold onto the matching sticker.

After the service is complete, you will return to the check-in desk, sign your child out electronically and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to your care.

During Service

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification code will appear in the corner of the screens in the Sanctuary. We ask that you exit the service and return to the Lower Auditorium.
